Description

Please contact us if you have questions or need help registering.** --------------------------------------------- This is an outdoor & hands-on based approach to learning a broad range of skills to navigate the outdoors in emergent and non-emergent situations. This class will lay a foundation of survival skills such as: map reading, using a compass, knot tying & application, hand-held radio use, signaling, water filtration, wilderness first aid, low angle rappelling, building a fire, site selections, shelters, preventing & managing lost situations, appropriate clothing & pack selections, wilderness nutrition, animal encounters, & more. All materials are provided. One semester course runs 15 weeks. (One session per week on average). Each class is 1 hour long. Due to logistical planning, refunds cannot be issued. Open to all ages: kids, adults, & families!
